Amber........... were you a cute Sim baby?

Well you tell me! Here is a picture of me back in the good old days before the challenge and I must say I'm pretty darn cute! :) My mom teased me right up to the day that I last saw her about how I would throw a hissy fit if my hair and clothing didn't look perfect...I guess some things never change!

Yes I actually do! I know a lot of people find it extremely inappropriate and in a way I do too. But I think overall the show has a really great message in every episode and it's funny to watch :) My favorite is Kurt he's awesome!

Amber, are your graphics on high or medium?

All of them are kept on high except for Tree Quality because I don't really care how my tree's look :) I love to have my graphics the best they can be so I can ensure quality pictures but it does have its fair share of troubles haha!

Amber what got you playing sims in the first place and creating the 100 baby challenge?

Well for the first question-I started playing Sims because my older brother played the Sims 2. I found it to be an AWESOME game because the idea of playing God just blew my mind! I played on his game for a while and even stole it once he got over it. When the Sims 3 came out I had no hesitance in buying it and LOVING it :) For the second question-For awhile before I started I read Cadence Sierra and Della Wriners blogs. I believe I read them for about three months each before finally saying "I'M GONNA START ONE!!!!" But it wasn't an easy process...I had debated starting one for a while but I feared I wouldn't be able to live up to the legends that Cadence and Della had set up-I sure hope I've done the challenge some justice haha!

Amber, this might be too personal of a question, if it is, that's alright, but do you have kids of your own? :)

Nope, none of my own in real life! But I love playing Ambers family and having my own little Sim babies :)

Where do you get your custom content from?

Good question! I have quite a few things from The Sims Resource back when I used to L-O-V-E downloading CC...after a rough battle with some pesky CC I have given up on none-sims 3 downloading sites. I actually prefer anything from the Sims Official Site anyway.

How long does it usually take you to play through one post?

Another good question! During the work/school time of year it usually takes me 4 to 5 days. During the summer, which I love, it takes about three days! I can be spacey with posts due to vacations and summer fun but I really try to crank them out!

Do you make your houses?

Well the first picture here which was my second house was build by me. I have a certain type of building style and it can be repetitive so I really prefer Violet Jane Newbie to build my homes :)

This house HERE was build by Violet! It has the rancher style and it's gotten me through about 30 babies in my challenge...this is my favorite house I've ever had in Sims.

I don't WANT to get back with Casey after the challenge but who knows? Love is surprising! And for Corbin I couldn't tell you if I wanted. I haven't seen him since high school and I wouldn't know the first place to look for him :(

Casey who? Hahaha, just kidding! I'd like to think that I'm sooo over him but I can't honestly say I am! He's still progressing in his career that I never found out about and I don't think he's dating anyone else yet...at least I hope not! 


What kind of childhood did Amber have? I know she had uptight parents, but what of the rest? :) I don't remember ever seeing a pic of her mom.

I guess it's safe to say that Amber had a cold childhood. Like you said, her parents were uptight, extremely catholic people who never let Amber and her siblings do what they wanted. Amber was the oldest of three kids; she has a middle sister named Penelope Lights and then a youngest brother named Jason who had serious mental issues. Amber, how do you get inspiration to write and think of plot lines?

That's a good question...I guess I just think of them? Haha, that doesn't make sense. I can get a lot of inspiration from things I've personally been through in real life and I just alter it and make it sims-appropriate. I like drama (If you can't tell) and writing of it is so much fun that most of the time I can just let my mind be creative and just WRITE.

Yessiree! As I mentioned in an earlier answer Della Wriner and Cadence Sierra, two challenge mom legends inspired me. As much as I loved only reading challenges I love being apart of the community of mothers and it's possibly one of the best decisions I've ever made :)


where did you get the docters to do the gender check?

All you have to do is know someone in town who has a level five medical career (Or higher) and invite them over. You don't have to be friends, all you have to do is announce your pregnancy to them and then "Ask Gender of Baby" under the friendly interactions. :)


wich expansion pack gives you the most things to do or wear? (hairstiles, clothing)

That's a matter of personal opinion because I'm more likely to answer with an EP that I like a lot more than the others. But if I were to count and give an answer I would probably have to say either World Adventures or Late Night gives the most clothing and hairstyles...I don't think I could say which one for sure gives more.

why did you do the 100 baby challenge in the first place?

Like I said in your other question, I did it because I wanted to be apart of the "elite" group of challenge mothers :P Now I know they're just a ton of dorks, haha! Just kidding, but I mainly did it to work on my writing skills and really just get some of my work out in the open. Sims is my all-time favorite video game and I got bored with just playing so often...writing just brings so much more to the game :)


what do YOU think is the most important thing as a mother?

Phew, lots of questions your asking! :) Hmm...well considering I'm not a REAL mother I don't want to give any wrong advice per say...Let me just say this from experience with my own mother and too-much babysitting-Never tell a little kid they're wrong-it crushes them, believe me. If they want to think they're a genius in something don't tell them they're not. It's wrong to me if you ruin a childs perception so young.


will you ever plan a wedding again?

Well aside from HOPEFULLY Ambers wedding one day I'm not sure! It's a ton of work and it really takes away from the challenge. But perhaps...you'll just have to wait and see!

Well considering that it's against challenge rules to have an actual job I'm not actually in a profession. But to make money Amber does TONS of gardening and she plays guitars for tips :) She also does some side modeling... (SPOILER ALERT!)
